Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR
Providing Training in Building Science & Energy Efficiency

The Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program of the Foundation for Senior Living is a leader and regional training center for energy efficiency and building science. We enjoy active partnerships with the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency, the Arizona Department of Commerce – Energy Office, APS, Southwest Gas, TEP, SRP and over a dozen Arizona cities.


National ENERGY STAR Program
FSL's Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is a local sponsor of the national Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.


Our staff train home improvement contractors in energy best practices, assist their technicians in achieving certification from the Building Performance Institute, and qualify them to display the national ENERGY STAR designation.

The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program promotes use of a “whole house solutions” approach to reducing high energy bills and increasing homeowner comfort and safety. Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program certifies contractors to perform a comprehensive review of a home’s heating and cooling system, windows, insulation levels, and air flows into, out of and within the home.  Work is performed in accordance with established national standards.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009 has dramatically increased the tax credits available to home owners pursuing energy efficient home improvements. Please check out the Energy Star website to learn more!

In addition to serving as a local ENERGY STAR sponsor, FSL’s Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is an Affiliate of the Building Performance Institute and is

certified to deliver weatherization, energy efficiency and building science training for contractors, weatherization auditors and technicians throughout the Southwestern United States.

Our trainers offer BPI refresher classes and conduct professional examinations for those seeking to achieve:
