Restoring the Safety and Comfort of the Home Environment

There is no place like home. But for many families, seniors and disabled adults, home can be a dangerous or difficult place to live. And that is where we come in.

By increasing the safety and functional convenience of the home, the Foundation for Senior Living's Home Improvements Program makes it easier to continue living in your own home.

We provide high quality repairs and renovations by licensed and bonded professionals - just one of the many ways in which the Foundation helps over 24,000 Arizonans each year with the issues and complications of aging, illness, or disability.

Fee for service renovations, safety modifications and weatherization improvements are offered to all and are performed to the highest standards.

Financial AssistanceMay Be Available

Low-income seniors and disabled adults who own their own homes may be eligible for grants to cover emergency and improvement services.

To receive financial assistance for major, minor or emergency repairs, applicants must meet income criteria, depending upon the city in which one is applying. Contact your local CAP (Community Action Program) office for more information about your specific needs.

Making a House a Home: Our Scope of Services

The Home Improvements Program offers a wide range of services, including emergency and minor home repairs, medical or safety accessibility modifications, and major renovations.

Home Improvements also provides construction management and weatherization assistance. All major housing rehabilitation must be applied for through local city government. Due to demand and limited funding, there may be a waiting list for services.
