We are pleased to announce Tamara “Tami” Bohannon as our President and CEO, effective February 7th

“Tami recently served as Chief Development Officer for the global health nonprofit Esperança and brings over 30 years of nonprofit experience to FSL,” said Todd Komaromy, Chair of FSL’s Board of Directors. “She’s worked with a variety of faith-based and secular charities in Arizona and is committed to building and strengthening communities. We’re excited to have her at the helm as we move forward through the pandemic. She brings innovative ideas and strong organizational leadership skills to FSL.”

Tami’s experience includes executive leadership, communications, and fundraising positions with Catholic Charities Community Services, Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona, St. Francis Xavier Jesuit Parish, the Sisters of Mercy, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the American Cancer Society.

“For the past 20 years, I’ve watched the amazing work FSL has done in our community, so it is my privilege and honor to join the team. I am looking forward to working alongside staff, volunteers, community partners, and donors to continue moving our mission forward and to serving our participants with excellence and dignity,” explains Tami Bohannon.  “Together we will be a strong team, mission-focused and ready to innovate to continue and grow services to assist others with issues including health, hunger, aging, illness, loneliness, and substandard housing.”

Tami considers herself a servant leader who prioritizes strategic thinking, collaboration, and relationship building.  Because she believes involvement is an important component of strong communities you’ll find her volunteering with the Greater Arizona Association of Fundraising Professionals, New Pathways for Youth, and St. Francis Xavier Parish and School.  She is passionate about ensuring the next generation of nonprofit professionals is informed and implements best practices.
