Employee Spotlight: Tonia Sampson – FSL’s Biggest Cheerleader

An Exclusive Interview!

We asked our employees to look around at their fellow coworkers and nominate someone who they thought most exemplified FSL’s core value, “Have a passion for our mission”. We wanted to know who they saw, day in and day out, truly loving what they do and caring for those they serve. Tonia Sampson was immediately chosen!

We have Ruth Faultner, another amazing FSL employee, to thank for nominating Tonia. Without her, we may never have gotten the exciting chance to highlight Tonia and her passion for FSL!

We are pleased to be able to share this exclusive interview with you!

How long have you been with FSL?

I have been with the agency for 24 years.

What do you love most about working at FSL?

I enjoy assisting our clients in staying in a safe, clean environment. I really like helping our clients stay in their own homes. I also enjoy working with fellow staff members who have the same mindset about our clients.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

Eva Dixon, who worked at FSL for 43 years, and Jane Lindner, who worked here for 14 years. Both are very compassionate people. And both are encouraging people.

Let's get personal! What's your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

I am a gardener; I enjoy working with plants and digging in the dirt.

On the weekends, you would find me not only gardening, but running my kids around, reading, and watching old movies.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

That I am a chaplain.

Thank you, Tonia, for your service!

Thank you, Tonia, for all of your years of dedicated service! You have made an incredible impact on our team and countless vulnerable adults in Arizona.
