Senior centers are vibrant hubs for any adult 60+ to make meaningful friendships, explore hobbies and get the community support needed to thrive. In Peoria, FSL provides a variety of services out of the Peoria Community Center, run by trained and qualified professionals who are dedicated to fostering a safe, warm, and fun environment for everyone. Join us every morning at 8:00 for hot coffee and pastries to learn about our activities planned for the day!

Meet New Friends
Open from 8:00 am to 5:00pm, the senior center is the perfect place to spend time with your friends or to meet someone new!
Daily Hot Lunches
Every day at 11:30am, Monday-Friday, hot meals are served to all at the senior center. $3.50 suggested donation (not required).
Computer Lab
Do you have trouble with computers, or maybe do not have one at home? Our computer lab has several for use and our staff will be happy to help!
Bingo
Join us for weekly bingo on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00pm for your chance to win a variety of prizes!
Arts & Crafts
You can spend a simple afternoon coloring or learn a new skill with an instructor. Whatever your artistic level, we can accommodate you!
Special Events
From birthday parties to holiday meals, we always looking for ways to provide a fun, engaging space for you to enjoy your morning or afternoon with us.
Meal Programs Available
Daily Lunches
Our kitchen staff creates delicious hot meals based on the recommendations of a registered dietitian. Servings of fruit and vegetables are available at every meal.
Food Pantry
Run entirely by volunteers, our food pantry is open to anyone in need. We feed seniors, families, and the unhoused on a daily basis. We even have toiletries and food for pets.
Home Deliveries
Many of our members are home-bound, so we deliver hot meals daily Monday – Friday. Whether out of need or just for convenience, this service is a popular choice!
Free Resources with the Community Action Program (CAP)
Everyone at one point in life hits a hard bump in the road and finds themselves in need of a little help, which is why FSL supports the Community Action Program that is focused on providing much-needed resources for the Peoria community.
Utility Payment & Eviction Prevention
Determined on a case-by-case basis, we work with those who need financial aid for utilities or financial aid for housing.Â
Home Weatherization​
We provide services like AC repair, window repair, water damage, mold damage, and other minor home repairs.
Dial-a-Ride
Peoria Dial-A-Ride was formed in 1989 to provide basic transportation services for the residents of Peoria. Dial-A-Ride services are available for anyone within the City of Peoria traveling within Peoria.
